Introduction
We are seeking a Foreign Trade Analyst in Chile to join our Consumables Logística SAM team. You will be responsible for coordinating foreign trade operations related to imports, exports, and other customs destinations, ensuring the proper management of documentation, transportation, customs clearance, and release of goods. They will also coordinate logistics activities associated with the supply chain, collaborating with internal departments and external suppliers to guarantee compliance with deadlines, current regulations, and operational continuity, contributing to the optimization of time, costs, and service levels.
What you’ll do
Coordinate import, export, triangulation, and other customs operations, ensuring compliance with established deadlines and current regulations.
Coordinate the release, transport, shipment, and dispatch of goods, managing the logistics activities associated with the supply chain in a timely manner.
Review, prepare, and validate foreign trade and shipping documentation, verifying its accuracy and compliance with legal, customs, and operational requirements.
Coordinate with suppliers, customs brokers, carriers, and other logistics operators to ensure the proper execution of foreign trade operations.
Track and monitor shipments and deliveries, managing deviations, contingencies, and operational requirements promptly.
Act as the point of contact for inquiries and coordination related to foreign trade and logistics operations, collaborating with various internal areas, such as procurement, production, planning, warehousing, sales, and customer service, as needed.
Maintain up-to-date information and documentation of operations in management systems (ERP and other related systems), ensuring traceability and timely process closure.
Identify opportunities for improvement in foreign trade and logistics processes, contributing to the optimization of time, costs, and service levels.
Understand and comply with Quality, Safety, Occupational Health, and Environmental standards in accordance with internal documentation, legal requirements, and organizational requirements.
Regarding the tasks involved, comply with the procedures related to the accreditation, certification, and maintenance of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, and CH3262 (Gender Equality and Work-Life Balance) standards.
Who you are
Technician or professional in Foreign Trade
Bachelor's degree in International Business Engineering, Commercial Engineering or Related fields
3 years of experience in logistics, foreign trade, supply chain, or warehouse operations, ideally within mining, heavy industry, or industrial consumables.
Strong ability to coordinate shipments involving large, heavy, or specialized components.
Ability to support operations serving both standard and remote delivery environments.
Proficiency with ERP systems, TMS, logistics KPIs, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Intermediate level English.
Solid experience with inbound and outbound government requirements, including customs compliance, broker management, audit support, and product classification (HS codes / tariff classification), considered a valuable asset for this role.
