Introduction:

 

We are looking to fill a Pump Equipment Orders, Project opening that would join our Quote and Order Delivery team. You will be responsible for leading, supporting and developing the Project Management function of the Order Management team, for the NCA Pumps BL. This role will be expected to successfully complete local project orders and collaborate as the POC for global project. This role will also be the main POC and liaison with our MA and Operations teams and support continuing to develop our project managing process, along with support for the D2D EQ Order Management team.
 
This position will be located in Columbia, SC, but will have a hybrid working model. 


 

What you’ll do:

 

  • Champions Metso safety standards and promotes a safe, accountable work environment for self, team, and organization.
  • Plans and coordinates project resources, leading, coaching, and encouraging effective cross functional teamwork.
  • Reviews, acknowledges, and supports contract and order execution in alignment with agreed commercial and technical terms.
  • Partners with Global Project Managers to interpret contract conditions, support negotiations, and communicate key project requirements.
  • Leads project execution activities, including kickoff planning, engineering deliverable oversight, and conformance to specifications.
  • Manages customer documentation workflows using tools such as SharePoint, Aconex, and Meridian.
  • Monitors project performance, quality, and risks; drives root cause analysis and implements process improvements as needed.
  • Supports reporting, stakeholder coordination, order entry (D2D/equipment), and project closeout activities to ensure successful delivery.

 

Who you are:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical or business field and/or applicable experience
  • Experience and user knowledge of SAP is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in leading and developing processes and procedural models.
  • 5+ years’ relevant experience
  • PMP certification is an advantage.
  • Previous experience in heavy equipment manufacturing related to machining and casting is a plus.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, including prioritization and decision making.
  • Proven history of strategic thinking and change management.
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings.
  • Business development and performance improvement.
  • Good working knowledge of IT systems (PowerBI, EveryAngle, Office 365 etc.)
