Introduction
 

We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join our Logistics team. You will be responsible for supporting the daily operational execution of all delivery modes transportation, inbound and outbound as well as a direct source to customers. This includes all transportation-related activities from booking to nominated Logistics Service Provider to freight invoice review and posting, this includes possible import and export clearance formalities on an operational perspective. In this position, you will report to the Inbound Logistics Manager.

 

This position is mainly located in Columbia, US but we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options.

 

Team you belong to
 

You will join a team of logistic coordinators committed to pro-actively monitoring active shipments, reacting, and contacting internal and external stakeholders when necessary. 

 

 

What You’ll Do:
 

  • Manage Transportation: Arrange inbound, outbound, and source-to-customer transportation, ensuring compliance with operating models and terms (e.g., incoterms).
  • Ensure Accuracy: Verify that all logistics documentation is accurate and complete for transportation.
  • Collaborate Effectively: Work with Logistics Service Providers for warehousing, brokerage, and transportation to ensure smooth operations.
  • Support Stakeholders: Provide information and support to stakeholders (e.g., Order Management) about operational logistics and possibilities.
  • System Setup: Ensure logistics systems are set up according to global/regional guidelines and operating models.
  • Operational Coordination: Align daily operations with the Logistics Center for inbound and outbound transportation.
  • Compliance and Execution: Operate with approved Logistics Service Providers and ensure adherence to Logistics Agreement documentation.
  • Handle Import/Export Formalities: Ensure local import and export customs compliance as per local regulations and Metso guidelines.
  • Monitor Performance: Work with approved Customs Brokers/Logistics Service Providers, developing and monitoring local customs brokerage performance.
  • Facilitate Customs Clearance: Obtain necessary information or facilitate documentation corrections from customs brokers to support customs clearance.

 

Who You Are:
 

  • Educational Background: Associate degree preferred.
  • Experience: At least 1 year in a logistics role.
  • Tech-Savvy: Knowledge of platforms such as SAP and Salesforce.
  • Excel Proficiency: Good skills in Excel.
