Job Title: Dealer Support Technician , Centurion ,South Africa

 

We are looking for a Dealer Support Technician to join our MPP Aftermarket team within the Services business in the Africa organization. In this role, you will provide technical and business support across our dealer network, helping to drive aftermarket growth, support equipment performance, and deliver excellent customer satisfaction.

You will report to the Global Technical & Product Support Manager.

This role is based in Centurion, South Africa, with a hybrid working model.

You will spend part of your time working alongside the local distributor and will undertake local and international travel as required.

 

Team you will belong to

You will join the MPP Aftermarket team and work closely with colleagues based in the USA, as well as dealers, customers, Technical Support, Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, and Quality teams. The team is focused on delivering responsive support and creating value throughout the equipment lifecycle.

 

What you'll do

  • Act as the key liaison between dealers and internal teams to support technical issues, service activities, and aftermarket business objectives.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and support repairs of equipment across the dealer network.
  • Drive aftermarket growth through technical support, service initiatives, parts sales support, and customer engagement.
  • Analyze warranty issues, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions and improvement opportunities.
  • Coordinate service requirements, including parts, consumables, maintenance activities, and repair documentation.
  • Support equipment installation, commissioning, and performance optimization activities.
  • Develop and deliver technical training programs for dealers and provide guidance on service solutions, upgrades, and aftermarket products.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, reporting, and invoicing related to service and repair activities.

 

What you'll bring

  • Recognized mechanical apprenticeship or equivalent technical qualification.
  • Relevant hands-on experience supporting equipment, maintenance, repairs, or aftermarket service operations.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and technical troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Strong business aptitude with the ability to understand customer needs and support aftermarket business growth.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, standard operating procedures, and technical documentation.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with dealers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness and ability to undertake local and international travel, including occasional overnight stays and weekend work.
  • Valid driver's license and passport.
