Introduction

We are seeking a Warehousing Lead, for APA to join our Consumables Logistics team. You will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing logistics activities for mining consumables such as screening media, wear liners, pumps, and mill lining components. This role supports production, warehousing, and transportation teams by managing shipments, and serving as a key point of contact for internal teams, customers, and logistics partners. In this position, you will report to Regional Logistics.

This position is located across any Metso office within the APA region with preference to Canning Vale. We are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options.

Team you belong to

You will join a team of supply chain and logistics experts dedicated to optimizing warehousing and distribution processes, who are passionate about driving reliable delivery performance and continuous improvement across logistics operations. We are currently working on visibility and tracking processes, continuous improvement initiatives, performance dashboards, and multi-site distribution operations.

We work closely with internal and external stakeholders, such as Manufacturing Plants, Customer Service, Procurement, Planners, HS&E, and logistics carriers and vendors. Our team culture is all about collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. The members in our team will be in APA Metso locations. 

What you’ll do

• Plan and supervise daily warehouse work ( if managed via 3PL) , allocating operators and administrative resources to meet safety , service , productions and inventory priorities.
• Ensure warehouse safety controls , PPE , forklift use , loading practices , chemical- handling and housekeeping standards are implemented and corrected in real time.
• Oversee SAP transaction discipline , receiving , put-away , picking , staging , material movements and inventory maintenance across warehouse locations.
• Maintain QMS routines, training follow-up , ERP / SAP user capability , standard work , audit readiness and corrective action closure.
• Manage order-tracking , sales order handover documentation , import arrival resource planning and internal customer communication managed with collaboration with 3PL service provider(s).
• Drive KPI cadence , issue escalation , maintenance follow-up , 5S / Kaizen activity and continuous improvement in daily warehouse execution.
• Strong collaboration and interaction with the 3PL Management service provider(s) across APA.
