Introduction
We are seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our team at the Canning Vale Manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for conducting rubber testing in a dedicated laboratory environment using relevant testing equipment. Your role plays a crucial part in maintaining effective laboratory operations and contributing to the overall performance and quality outcomes of the manufacturing unit. In this position, you will report directly to Quality Specialist.
This position is mainly located in Canning Vale.

We work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including plant personnel, to ensure quality standards are met and maintained across all activities.

What you’ll do
- Perform laboratory tasks in compliance with global and local company guidelines, Code of Conduct, LEAN methodologies, and internal policies and procedures.
- Ensure full compliance with QEHS requirements; proactively identify, stop, and report any safety risks to the supervisor.
- Conduct material and product testing using laboratory equipment such as rheometers, hardness testers, elasticity testers, and density testers, ensuring accuracy, repeatability, and adherence to test standards.
- Accurately confirm, analyze, document, and maintain test results, reports, and laboratory records in accordance with quality and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor laboratory and testing equipment performance; identify deviations, perform basic troubleshooting, and report malfunctions promptly.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders regarding test results, product quality, deviations, and laboratory protocols (via email, phone, or in person).
- Support production teams for any quality-related questions or investigations.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the direct supervisor.
Who you are

- Background in laboratory work, chemistry, materials science, polymer science, or related field preferred.
- 1-2 Years Experience with rubber testing, compounding, or industrial laboratory equipment is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and documentation accuracy.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with production or ERP systems (e.g., SAP) are preferred.
