Introduction to the Role
The Logistics Invoice Support role is an administrative based entry level role for an individual with demonstrated 6 months plus experience in the logistics field or has recently completed a certificate or qualification in a related field. The role will be based in Canning vale and work closely with team members to ensure timely invoice validation and processing for payment occurs for all consumables within the CNS business.
Only those with full working rights in Australia need apply and those with a genuine interest in commencing or continuing to develop their skills in the logistics industry/ field are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Invoice Verification & Validation: Perform matching of Freight invoices for the shipments or freight bookings against agreed freight rates.
- Verify freight invoice if relates to Consumable shipments , mathematical accuracy, unit pricing, taxes, and payment terms.
- Duplicate Detection: Identify and flag duplicate invoices before processing.
- Approval Routing: Route compliant invoices to the appropriate budget owners or department managers for sign-off based on tiered approval matrix limits.
- Dispute Resolution: Investigate discrepancies (e.g., price or chargeable weight) and communicate directly with Freight / shipment booking person to review and resolve with the Logistics service provider.
- Freight Coding: Allocate expenses to the correct general ledger (GL) accounts and cost centers
- Compliance & Reporting: Ensure all invoices adhere to internal financial controls and tax compliance laws. Assist to ensure the invoice validation are completed prior to payment due dates.
- Freight support : Additional support to Factory / Regional Logistics to perform freight related activities as when required.
A positive, attention to detail driven mindset along with willingness to devleop their skills within this field is essential to exceed in this entry level role. Excellent communication both written and verbal is essential to set you up for success!!
