Field Service Engineer

Introduction
  We are seeking a Fiel Service Engineer to join our Market Area Sales and Service Mexico team. You will be responsible for providing Advisory and/or Supervisory services for the installation/repair of mechanical equipment. Gain the necessary experience to become proficient in the operation of Metso equipment and systems. In this position, you will report to the Manager, Field Service Mexico
 
This position is mainly located in Cananea, Sonora MX or Irapuato, Guanjauato. However, it involves up to 50-70% of travel to Customer Sites.
  
Team you belong to
 

You will join a team of Field Service experts focused on providing solutions to Sales Manager and Customers

We work closely with internal stakeholders, such as Sale Account Managers and Direct Customers. Our team culture is all about providing the best solutions for the customer and internal stakeholders. The members in our team are in Mexico.
 
What you’ll do:
 
•    Installation & Commissioning: Ensure the setup of systems, machinery, spare parts, and wear material components, ensuring smooth operations for our customers.
•    Technical Evaluations: Analyze equipment and component failures to determine causes and implement solutions that keep machines running at peak performance.
•    Product & Service Promotion: Promote sales of OEM spare parts, wear components, and Metso products to customers while promoting our technical skills.
•    Supervision & Support: Oversee Field Service projects at customer sites, offering direct mechanical service and guiding field service technicians.
•    Inspection & Reporting: Conduct field inspections, escalate issues to technical support and engineering, and provide detailed reports on site visits, expenses, and time sheets.
•    Solution Support: Assist with quotations, define solutions for LCS (Life Cycle Services), and contribute to the technical support process, including warranty and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).

•    Effective ability to work by managing your own schedule and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
•    Effective communication and teamwork skills for collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
•    A quick thinker, capable of making sound, accurate decisions on complex issues. •    Highly organized with a keen interest in detailed technical reporting and record-keeping.
•    Solid mechanical/electrical/instrumentation skills.
•    Comfortable reading technical drawings, using measurement tools, and interpreting imperial/metric measurements.
•    Willing and able to travel frequently (up to 6 weeks per trip) with potential for occasional international assignments.
