Introduction

 

We are seeking a Product Warranty & Quality Process Intern to join our BDH Business Line Warranty & Quality team. You will support day‑to‑day warranty and quality operations, develop data visualization tools—especially in Power BI—and assist with global Jaggaer ticket coordination. Your involvement in failure investigations and root‑cause analysis will help enhance our product reliability and ensure compliance with Metso’s global SVS warranty processes.

In this position, you will report to the Warranty Manager, Product Technical Support in BDH BL.

This position is mainly located in Burlington, with the option for flexible or hybrid working arrangements.

You will join a team of warranty, quality, and technical support specialists dedicated to improving processes, analyzing product performance, and driving continuous improvement. Our current focus includes Jaggaer quality reporting, Power BI warranty dashboards, and strengthening global warranty process compliance.

You will collaborate with internal partners such as engineering, quality management, customer service, and field service teams. Our team culture emphasizes collaboration, accountability, and curiosity. Colleagues are based across North America and global regions.

 

 

What you’ll do

 

 

  • Provide BDH Business Line support for day‑to‑day warranty and quality functions.
  • Coordinate BDH BL global Jaggaer tickets, ensuring timely follow‑up and reporting.
  • Support failure investigations and contribute to root‑cause analysis, including learning and applying RCA methodologies.
  • Report on quality data, especially managing Jaggaer data transfers and manual consolidations.
  • Develop warranty data visualizations in Power BI, with potential expansion to other PTS KPIs.
  • Assist with improving and documenting BDH BL warranty and quality processes.
  • Support data handling, including Excel data migration when required.
  • Ensure adherence to Global Metso SVS warranty process compliance.
  • Gain hands‑on exposure to Metso, the mining industry, and BDH BL warranty & quality functions.

 

 

Who you are

 

 

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Administrative Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field (Master’s students preferred).
  • Strong analytical skills with an interest in data visualization and continuous improvement.
  • Experience or interest in Power BI, dashboards, or reporting tools.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Organized, detail‑oriented, and proactive in solving problems.
  • Comfortable working with Excel, large datasets, and digital tools.
  • Nice to have: Familiarity with Jaggaer, RCA method training, or quality management systems.

For positions that may be performed in Ontario, the expected salary range is $23-28/hour. Actual compensation within this range will be determined based on skills, experience, and role-related qualifications. Compensation for roles performed outside Ontario will be determined in accordance with applicable local laws and market conditions.
