Introduction

 

We are seeking a Global Logistics Specialist to join our Global Order Management team in North America. You will be responsible for supporting international transportation and logistics activities to ensure the timely and compliant delivery of goods, which involves coordinating shipments, managing logistics partners, and ensuring adherence to global operating models. Your role plays a crucial part in maintaining operational efficiency and compliance, which positively impacts customer satisfaction and overall supply chain performance across the Canadian and U.S. Aggregates capital equipment business.
In this position, you will report to the Global Order Management Supervisor.
This position is mainly located in North America, and we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options.

 

Team you belong to

 

You will join a team of logistics and order management professionals dedicated to ensuring efficient, compliant, and customer-centric delivery performance. Our team strives to optimize global transportation flows, streamline order-to-delivery processes, and support business growth through reliable logistics execution. We are currently working on enhancing global logistics processes, improving system utilization (SAP, TMS), and strengthening regional transportation capabilities.
We work closely with internal and external stakeholders, such as order handling teams, supply chain teams, logistics service providers (LSPs), and customs brokers. Our team culture is all about collaboration, continuous improvement, and proactive problem-solving. Team members are located across multiple regions globally, contributing to a diverse and supportive working environment.

 

What you’ll do

 

•    Provide quotation support to win orders by delivering fast freight estimates (RFQs, cost, price, lead time) to customer and distributor locations.
•    Coordinate transportation for inbound, outbound, and source-to-customer shipments aligned with global operating models and Incoterms.
•    Book and manage transportation independently with global and local logistics service providers across road, sea, air, rail, and express modes.
•    Track shipments and manage ETA updates, proactively communicating changes and implementing corrective actions when required.
•    Validate import and transportation documentation for customs and compliance (shipping invoices, packing lists, BL, certificates).
•    Ensure customs compliance for import/export operations and coordinate execution with customs brokers.
•    Act as a key user for logistics systems (SAP S4 Hana, TMS) and ensure system setup aligns with global/regional guidelines.
•    Serve as a single point of contact for customers, the order handling team, and global supply chain on transportation topics, including transportation claims with carriers and forwarders.
•    Support monthly reporting and contribute to closing activities (transport cost verification, backlog review).

 


Who you are

 

Education & Experience
•    Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or International Trade.
•    Minimum 3–5 years of experience in international logistics and transportation management.
•    Experience in the aggregates industry and/or heavy machinery transport (nice to have).
Technical Skills
•    Strong knowledge of Incoterms and customs regulations.
•    Experience using SAP (S4 Hana) and Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
Language Skills
•    Fluent in English (mandatory).
•    Spanish and French are considered an asset.
