Introduction
We are seeking a Field Superintendent - Demolition to join our team. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day tasks associated with a construction/demolition site per their designated discipline. Coordinate the activities of a team of workers so that the project goals are met within Metso’s adherence to high standards concerning, Safety, Quality, Schedule, Scope, and Cost. team will range from, demolition equipment operator specialists, skilled trade supervisors to local labours.)
This position is located in Sudbury, ON and we are happy to offer possible relocation.
However, this role involves up to 30% of travel internationally.
Team you belong to
You will join a team of Delivery experts tasked with traveling to customer sites, and putting together schedules, the review, construction of these, and coordination meetings.

What you’ll do
- Assist with the creation of activity work plans, job safety environmental analysis
- Assist with the creation of detailed construction/demolition schedules
- Assist with and provide inputs to project estimates and proposals
- Conduct pre and post job briefs - Review job safety environmental analysis, the required tasks and implement mitigating actions to ensure a safe working environment
- Operate and troubleshoot demolition equipment (Brokk Equipment)
- Keep a detail shift log, complete project daily reports, including schedule updates, delay notices
Who you are
- Minimum of 10 years in field superintendent roles within the mining industry.
- Experience in construction management, particularly in mining-related projects.
- Proficient in using industry-specific software and tools for project management, scheduling, and reporting.
- Effective people management skills with the ability to direct and motivate a diverse team.
- Skilled in problem-solving to address and resolve on-site issues efficiently.
- In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the mining industry.
- Skill in adjusting to shifting project demands and work conditions.
