We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Distributor Business Manager to lead capital equipment sales and aftermarket growth for SRHeavy Stationary and Powertrack Mobile product lines (including crushers, screeners, and related machinery) across Europe and Africa. This role is instrumental in driving revenue, developing and managing distribution channels, and enhancing customer satisfaction through effective relationship management and product support strategies.
What You’ll Do
Sales Development & Execution:
- Drive capital equipment and aftermarket sales for SRHeavy and Powertrack Mobile products in the region.
- Prepare and deliver detailed sales proposals, quotations, and commercial agreements.
- Call on end-users such as aggregate producers, contractors, engineering houses, and site operations to promote products and services.
- Develop, present, and execute regional sales strategies to increase market share and profitability.
- Attend exhibitions, organize roadshows, and implement sales & marketing strategies in line with global directives.
Distribution Management:
- Evaluate, appoint, and support distribution partners in alignment with the export business strategy.
- Ensure distribution channels become self-sufficient in pre- and post-sales activities through continuous training and support.
- Manage distributor relationships including inventory control, financing, and credit monitoring.
- Provide clear guidance and performance goals to motivate distributors to achieve annual targets.
Customer & Product Support:
- Deliver regular product and application training to both distributors and end customers.
- Support customers with technical services including equipment operation, maintenance, and application improvements.
- Lead resolution efforts for customer complaints related to equipment and services.
Reporting & Strategic Planning:
- Generate regular performance reports for senior management detailing dealer activity, sales forecasts, strategy execution, cost analysis, and improvement plans.
- Act as a key liaison between Metso, SRHeavy, Powertrack organizations and the local distribution networks, ensuring smooth communication, logistics, and service delivery.
- Propose changes in equipment, processes, or services that enhance performance and reduce operational costs.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Sales volume and margin achievement vs. targets.
- Market share growth in the assigned region.
- Distributor onboarding and development effectiveness.
- Customer satisfaction and complaint resolution timelines.
- Training delivery frequency and distributor self-sufficiency level.
- Forecast accuracy and reporting consistency.
Who You Are
Essential:
- Fluency in both French and English (spoken and written).
- Minimum 4 years of sales experience in Europe and/or Africa.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in selling capital equipment.
- Industry experience in Heavy Equipment for Aggregates, Construction, Minerals Processing, or related service sectors.
- Proven ability to conduct detailed business analysis, prepare and present reports, and create strategic sales plans.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make data-driven decisions.
Desirable:
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote and multicultural environment.
- Experience managing international distributors and navigating complex sales cycles.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and digital sales tools.
