Introduction

 

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Manager, Crushing R&D Program to join our Technology & Innovation team in the Minerals business area. In this pivotal role, you will oversee and manage all research and technology development activities related to the Crushing business line R&D program. Your contributions will be essential in developing and validating new crushing technologies, ultimately delivering innovative products to our customers. You will report directly to the VP of Technology & Innovation.

 

This position offers flexibility in location, with options to be based in either Brookfield, WI, USA or Münster, Germany. We also support flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options. Global travel is expected to be around 30% to 35%.

 

Team You Will Join

 

You will be part of a team of technical leaders focused on the research and development of sustainable mineral processing technologies. Our current projects focus on enhancing energy efficiency, water efficiency, and overall performance of our customers' operations. We collaborate with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders to implement our projects, building a team culture centered on collaboration and reaching goals together. Our team members are located in Finland, Germany, Brazil, France, Sweden, and the USA.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Define requirements for engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, and accounting departments for projects managed directly (R&D program lead serving as Project Manager).
  • Direct and support project managers in managing projects indirectly.
  • Contribute to planning and implementing the BA R&D strategy, roadmaps, and portfolio related to the assigned R&D program.
  • Report project status, financials, and schedules accurately and timely.
  • Keep Product Group leaders and other stakeholders informed about project progress.
  • Participate in technical decisions and coordinate technical details with stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with supply chain, market areas, test centers, customers, universities, and vendors as required by the assigned projects.
  • Provide technical support for strategic sales cases and troubleshoot business-critical commissioning cases.

 

Within Technology & Innovation

 

  • Work closely with the Head of Technology & Innovation to maintain accurate project status reporting.
  • Collaborate with engineers and researchers for project support.
  • Support the Sustainability Program leader in analyzing and reporting sustainability metrics for the assigned R&D program.

 

Qualifications

 

  • 5+ years of experience in Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in Project Management.
  • Experience with crushing equipment technology.
