Introduction

 

We are seeking a Junior Operational Procurement Specialist to join our Mining Services Aftermarket – Operations Supply Chain team. You will be responsible for executing operational procurement activities that ensure material availability and supply chain reliability to support aftermarket services, repairs, and upgrades. This involves managing purchase orders, mitigating supply risks, coordinating with suppliers, and responding quickly to changing operational priorities. Your role plays a crucial part in maintaining customer uptime and service continuity, which will directly contribute to operational performance and customer satisfaction.

This position is mainly located in Brookfield,WI and York,PA, but we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options.

You will join a team of operational procurement and supply chain execution specialists who are dedicated to ensuring reliable aftermarket service delivery for mining customers. The team is passionate about execution excellence and strives to protect customer uptime through strong material availability, supplier coordination, and proactive risk management.
We are currently working on supporting aftermarket services, repairs, component availability, and continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory health, lead time reduction, and execution reliability.

We work closely with internal and external stakeholders, such as Service Operations, Logistics, Customer Service, Sourcing, Engineering, Finance, and key suppliers. Our team culture is centered around accountability, responsiveness, collaboration, and data driven decision making. Team members are located across multiple regions globally.


What you’ll do


•    Execute procurement activities supporting Mining Services Aftermarket demand, including repairs, service assemblies, upgrades, and component replenishment
•    Translate service demand, forecasts, and operational priorities into timely and accurate purchasing actions
•    Create, release, and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy in pricing, quantities, delivery dates, and commercial terms
•    Track and expedite open purchase orders, resolving shortages, delays, and supplier performance issues
•    Identify material risks, supply constraints, and delivery exposures, driving mitigation actions to protect service commitments
•    Monitor inventory levels, shortages, and backlogs, proposing corrective actions to improve material availability
•    Act as the primary operational interface with suppliers, supporting day to day coordination and issue resolution
•    Maintain data accuracy within ERP systems and develop reports to support operational visibility and decision making

 

Who you are


•    Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
•    5+ years of experience in operational procurement or supply chain execution within industrial or service environments
•    Strong experience managing purchase orders and material flow in fast paced, execution driven operations
•    Analytical and data oriented, with the ability to translate information into actionable decisions
•    Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines
•    Strong communicator who engages effectively with cross functional stakeholders and suppliers
•    Comfortable working independently in a high impact individual contributor role
•    Experience in mining, heavy equipment, industrial services, or aftermarket operations; familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems; advanced Excel skills; or basic understanding of engineered/mechanical components
