Global Order Specialist
Introduction
We are seeking a Global Order Specialist for our BDH business line to join our team of Global Order Operations. You will be responsible for connected sales and purchase order changes after the orders are received, which involve the removal of delivery blocks, order cancellations, lead time improvements, supplier delay changes and monitoring for intercompany transactions. Your role plays a crucial part in Global Logistics Operations, which will contribute to reaching the best results and smooth operations within Metso. In this position, you will report to Raman Rai, Manager, Global Order Operations, BDH BL.
This position is mainly located in Burlington, ON, Montreal, QC, York, PA, Columbia, SC but we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options.
Team you belong to
You will join a team of global specialists dedicated to their work. We are currently working on many Internal development projects and have a lot of sophisticated tasks to improve our operations. We work closely with internal stakeholders, such as Logistics, Master Data, Operative Purchasing, Availability Management and Customer Care. Our team culture is all about building bridges between the teams and getting the work done together. The members of our team are located in Brazil, Sweden, Finland, and USA.
What you’ll do
- Process order changes to sales orders and purchase orders in Metso’s global network.
- Expedite coordination for sales orders.
- Communicate of order changes to all stakeholders involved.
- Sales order Backlog Monitoring and communication to different market areas.
- Communicate between Logistics, Master Data, Operative Purchasing, Availability Management and Customer Care teams.
Who you are
- You have a degree in Administration, Supply Chain or similar.
- You have strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- You can effectively and accurately multitask in a fast-paced environment and prioritize accordingly.
- You have a global mindset and interest in working in a multicultural environment
- You are a highly motivated individual with the ability to meet the deadlines
- You have high computer skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems is an asset
- Previous experience working in the mining, engineering, or construction-related industry is an asset
- Knowledge of global supply chain, logistics, or warehouse activities is an asset
