Introduction
We are seeking a skilled Compensation Specialist with over three years of experience in U.S. compensation analysis to join our collaborative HR team. The ideal candidate will ensure our North and Central America compensation structure remains attractive and compliant with regulations, enhancing our ability to attract and retain qualified professionals. Familiarity with Canadian compensation structures is valuable. In this position, you will report to the Employee Administration Manager.
This position is mainly located in York, PA or Brookfield, WI but we are pleased to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options.

What you’ll do
- Act as primary point of contact and consultation for HR generalists, HR managers, and recruiters on job classification and associated compensation.
- Conduct comprehensive market analysis to benchmark salary data and compensation practices
- Provide timely customer service for escalated inquires with accurate resolution
- Provide support in writing clear, appealing, and compliant job descriptions.
- Assist and collaborate, as appropriate, in the planning, coordination, facilitation, administration, and reporting of the annual salary review program.
- Facilitate the calculation, reporting, auditing, and payout of annual bonuses.
- Offer expert advice and guidance to HR and managers with organizational structure development, job design, and related workforce planning matters issues.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. federal and state compensation regulations; knowledge of Canadian standards is beneficial.
- Oversee administration of deferred compensation program, including plan review and updates, annual enrollment, and resolving employee questions and issues.
Who you are
- Working knowledge of applicable US and Canadian laws and regulations related to compensation.
- Proficiency in benchmarking salaries using tools like PayScale, Mercer, or similar.
- Ability to interpret market surveys and adjust pay structures accordingly.
- Intuitive planning to align compensation programs with organizational goals.
- Ability to translate and communicate complex subject matter and data clearly and concisely to all organizational levels.
- 3+ years’ experience and knowledge in compensation planning, research, policy, and program design, with an emphasis on having base and incentive compensation experience at all employment levels.
- Bachelor’s degree required, with a focus on Human Resources or Finance.
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation beneficial
