Business Development Manager, Pumps - East

Introduction

We are seeking a Business Development Manager, Pumps – West to join our Asia Pacific Sales team. Develop initiatives and activities towards growing the Pumps business line. Increase opportunities, order intake, market share and profit by actively engaging with clients and internal stake holders.

This role will be based in Brisbane. 

You will join a high functioning team who enjoy what they do! The team is based across our Australia and Jakarta locations. 

What you’ll do:

  • Develop Greenfield and Brownfield opportunities. Convert opportunities to orders.

  • Identify and develop equipment upgrades and competitor upgrade opportunities.

  • Manage equipment trials. 

  • Develop marketing and growth strategies.

  • Understanding the market need for pump business and communicating it to Metso team.

  • Develop cross-business line sales for bundles and packages.

  • Provide training on Pumps BL products internally and externally to clients.

  • Improvement of customer satisfaction, ensuring customers receive first-class customer care and service.

  • Provide accurate quarterly budgeting and forecasting activities, with new business development/projects delivering growth 

  • Achieves and exceeds overall business targets for key customers.

  • Build rapport and respect as a trusted advisor.

  • Maintain all opportunities and activities using our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.

  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of industry processes, competitors and commercial influences.

Who you are

  • 5+ years relevant work experience.

  • Effective negotiator to bring about the best outcome for Customers and Metso.

  • Experience in communicating and collaborating closely with sales, product management, services and customers. 

  • Experience in the area of Sales and Customer Relationship Management.

  • Business and industry understanding.

  • Result driven and creative with “can do” attitude.

  • Analytical and strategical mindset.

  • Ability to travel regularly as required, including to remote mine sites.

  • Ability to think creatively, on the run.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication and presentation skills. 

  • Experience with valves and / or hydrocyclones is highly regarded
