Introduction to the Role
We are seeking a Production Support Officer who will be processing production orders and purchasing to support the Fabrication and Assembly East supply chain manufacturing locations, driving efficiency and ensuring on time delivery.

What you will do
- Order Processing: Ensure prompt processing of orders and production orders, including setting up bill of materials and routings to minimize impact on customers and supply locations.
- SAP Knowledge: Develop SAP key user knowledge for transactional processing in line with company processes and procedures.
- Systems Understanding: Gain an understanding of systems transactional knowledge to assist in testing changes and improvements within the supply chain.
- Team Collaboration: Participate in team problem-solving activities and contribute to knowledge management.
- Customer and Vendor Interaction: Handle interactions with internal and external customers and vendors to ensure on-time delivery of products.
- Cost Management: Target key cost drivers within the supply chain to reduce procurement costs.
- Vendor Negotiation: Negotiate vendor pricing and procurement of materials according to supply chain estimates.
- Purchase Orders: Efficiently process purchase orders and collect necessary vendor quality paperwork.
- Expediting Requests: Respond promptly to expediting requests from internal stakeholders to meet end customer requirements.
- Supply Chain Practices: Understand Supply Chain manufacturing facility practices to ensure smooth end-to-end processes

Desirable
- Diploma in Purchasing or Certificate in Procurement and Support Operations or equivalent
- Experiences in Purchasing or Procurement
- Experience in Internal Sales
- SAP Experience
- Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings
- Experience in internal sales and or supply chain manufacturing practices
