Introduction

We are seeking a Regional Product Manager to join our Metso, Screening BL, China Region, Consumable team. You will be responsible for developing the Screening business, working closely with our market areas and sales channel partners throughout the region, the SCB China region delivery team on setting up, organizing and optimizing our supply channels, global and regional engineering to ensure our offering meets the customer’s needs; supporting sales negotiation and participating in contract review; managing a products industrialization project to deliver the products performance, the profitability of products (cost) and manufacturing process availability to guarantee the project schedule and cost of the project with internal and external resources. In this position, you will report to General Manager, Screening BL, China Region.

 

This position is mainly located in Shenyang.

You will join a team of screening business unit dedicated to screening equipment.


We work closely with internal stakeholders, such as China Sales, AM, Operation team, R&D and Manufacturing Process & Quality, Global Regional teams, Regional Product Managers, Supply Chain & Logistic and Delivery team, CNS Supply Chain and MA China HOP, Logistic operation. What you’ll do

 

  • Regional product development and management.
  • Capital quotation support.
  • Regional product strategies and action plans.
  • Application support and model selection proposal support.
  • Sourcing strategies and management in unison with the delivery team and CNS supply chain.
  • Tier 2 technical support.
  • Onsite support to market areas and sales channels.
  • Product support.
  • Supports final sales negotiations, under the costumer’s requests and participate in contract review.
  • Established the Contract Master Schedule. According to delivery time, make a reasonable project plan & cost budget after communication with customer and relevant departments (Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality).
  • According to the cost budget, prepare procurement files and participate in supplier selection.
  • Regularly following the cost committed and to be committed, have provision and solution for saving the cost and overrunning budget.
  • Ensure project execution is done by Project Management Procedures including scope and time management, cost and quality control, risk management, procurement and manufacturing constraints by considering the local situation and adaptations.
  • Notifies in writing any modifications from the original scope of plan or contract, regardless of their origin: customer, sub-contractor, supplier etc.
  • Follows up customer payments and gets involved in technical difficulties.
  • Draws up the follow-up elements required for the project closing meetings, which he puts forward to the General Manager.
  • Feeds back improvement opportunities to the Design Department via Design Reviews and Technical contract closing meeting.

 

Who you are

 

  • Language skills: Fluent English required; other language skills are seen as bonus. 
  • Leadership experience: Proven track record of leading people and business. 
  • 10 years or more experience in related products, services, and project management. 
  • Proven track record of leading change. 
  • Will to take ownership and carry responsibility. 
  • Technical/Commercial degree (MSc, BSc, MBA) or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and manage several projects simultaneously. 
  • Strategic leadership experience. 
  • Ability to network and interact with a wide range of people with different backgrounds. 
  • Ability to develop people and solutions to meet future requirements. 
  • Possess capabilities for fast reaction and response time.
  • Highly performance driven.
  • Proactive working style.
  • Open communication style.
