Join our Perth Technology Centre and play a key role in delivering high-quality pilot and bench scale testwork that supports major projects in the minerals and chemical processing industries.

 

Reporting to the Director, Proposals & Testwork, this is a hands-on technical role where you’ll work closely with engineers, researchers and clients to support piloting programs, research initiatives and process development.

 

This role is based at our Technology Centre in Bayswater.

 

 

About the Role

You’ll be responsible for supporting pilot and bench scale testwork activities in a safe, professional and quality-focused environment.

 

  • Sample and chemical preparation
  • Equipment setup, operation and pack-down
  • Conducting sample analysis and complex calculations
  • Maintaining pilot equipment and planning preventative maintenance
  • Updating test reporting databases and hazardous chemical registers (MSDS)
  • Supporting research and development projects
  • Managing sample receipt, dispatch and movement within the facility
  • Maintaining and adhering to QA laboratory procedures
  • Preparing and updating equipment operating and maintenance manuals

 

 

About You

You’re technically minded, detail-focused and enjoy hands-on problem solving. You take pride in working methodically and delivering accurate, high-quality outcomes.

Ideally, you will have:

  • 1+ year experience in mineral processing or chemical processing
  • A tertiary qualification in Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical Engineering (or extensive relevant technical experience)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and practical troubleshooting skills
  • Experience working in a laboratory or pilot plant environment
  • High attention to detail and analytical capability
  • Confidence collaborating with engineers, internal stakeholders and customers

Desirable:

  • Forklift licence
