Foundry Production Supervisor

Metso is a global leader in sustainable technologies and services for the mining, aggregates, and metals industries. We are currently seeking an experienced and hands-on Foundry Production Supervisor to join our Ballina foundry operation.

Reporting to the Foundry Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day production activities across moulding and melting operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production outcomes.

You will play a key role in leading production teams, coordinating workflows, maintaining product quality standards, and driving operational improvements across the foundry.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and supervise daily foundry production activities across moulding and melting operations
Promote and maintain a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with all health, safety and environmental requirements
Ensure work is completed in accordance with established procedures, quality standards and production schedules
Manage production planning activities and coordinate team resources to achieve operational targets
Monitor product quality and maintain product integrity throughout the manufacturing process
Ensure chemical analysis and testing activities are completed in accordance with required procedures
Operate and oversee foundry equipment and processes as required
Identify equipment issues and work closely with maintenance teams to minimise downtime
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, quality, productivity and efficiency

About You

Previous leadership or supervisory experience within a foundry, metals, manufacturing, casting or heavy industrial environment
Strong knowledge of molten metal handling and foundry operations
A genuine commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop production teams
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
A collaborative approach and willingness to work across multiple functions
