Are you an experienced moulder and caster who takes pride in quality workmanship and working safely? We’re looking for a skilled Foundry Moulder & Caster to join our production team, playing a key role in delivering high-performance cast components used in heavy industry.

 

This is a hands-on role where your technical expertise, attention to detail and commitment to safety will directly contribute to production success and product quality.

 

 

What You’ll Be Doing

As part of our Foundry team, you will:

  • Manufacture moulds in line with production schedules
  • Prepare and secure moulds ready for pouring
  • Conduct melting and pouring operations in accordance with procedures
  • Monitor temperatures and perform charge calculations
  • Conduct chemical analysis using spectrometer equipment
  • Calibrate moulding mixers and maintain equipment standards
  • Pack and dispatch finished castings
  • Operate load-shifting equipment and workshop machinery
  • Support and mentor apprentices within the team
  • Contribute ideas to improve safety, quality and efficiency

 

You’ll work closely with the Beforecast Team Leader and Foundry Production Supervisor to ensure output targets are achieved safely and efficiently.

 

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking someone who:

  • Has proven experience in a manufacturing or foundry environment
  • Demonstrates strong technical knowledge in moulding practices
  • Can troubleshoot and resolve casting defects
  • Works safely and promotes a strong safety culture
  • Has solid time management and communication skills
  • Thrives in a team-based environment

 

Desirable (But Not Essential)

  • Forklift licence
  • Driver’s licence
