We are looking for a Sourcing Engineer to join our Procurement team in Alwar. In this role, you will support sourcing and engineering teams by providing accurate cost estimations, analyzing supplier quotations, and driving development activities for fabrication and machined parts. This is a hands-on technical role where your understanding of manufacturing processes, cost estimation, and supplier interaction will directly support efficient sourcing decisions and project execution.

 

This role is based in Alwar, India, with close collaboration with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.

 

 

Team you will belong to

 

You will be part of the Procurement and Sourcing team supporting Aggregates operations, working closely with Engineering, Project, and Supplier teams. The team focuses on cost optimisation, supplier alignment, and technical sourcing support, ensuring sourcing decisions are aligned with engineering requirements and business goals.

 

 

What you’ll do

 

  • Perform drawing study and technical analysis to support sourcing decisions
  • Prepare and evaluate RFQs (requests for quotations) and coordinate with suppliers
  • Develop accurate cost estimates for fabrication and machined parts based on manufacturing processes
  • Analyze supplier quotations and ensure alignment with estimates
  • Support supplier development follow-ups and ensure timely progress of parts development
  • Apply cost estimation methodologies and maintain reliable cost data and reporting
  • Identify cost reduction opportunities through detailed cost analysis 
  • Collaborate with engineering and sourcing teams to ensure cost-effective and technically sound solutions 

 

 

What you’ll bring

 

  • 3–6 years of experience in manufacturing, sourcing engineering, or cost estimation roles
  • Strong technical understanding of fabrication and machining processes (e.g., CNC, milling, cutting) 
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical data 
  • Hands-on experience with cost estimation and analysis for manufacturing components 
  • Experience working with supplier quotations and basic sourcing processes (RFQs) 
  • Familiarity with tools such as AutoCAD, Excel, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP MM) 
  • Structured, detail-oriented working style with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Experience in nesting, raw material optimisation, or cost modelling techniques is an advantage
  • Exposure to supplier interaction or development activities
