Introduction
We are seeking a Manager/ Senior Manager to join our team. You will be responsible for Casting/Forging Sourcing. In this position, you will report to the Director, Procurement, Alwar Plant. The position is a global position, and the person is responsible for all Agg locations.
This position is mainly located in Alwar or Gurugram
What you’ll do
- Develop and manage suppliers for casting and forging components
- Drive cost optimisation and supplier consolidation initiatives
- Ensure compliance with global sourcing standards and processes
- Collaborate cross-functionally for the timely development and delivery of components
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for management reviews
- Negotiate contracts and maintain strong supplier relationships
- Responsible for new product development and re-sourcing projects
- Must be a team player who can work along with various function
- Establish independently the BCC sourcing base for the company`s global manufacturing need, through suitable source identification, selection, primary assessment and technical evaluation, short listing, NDA signing, RFQ and quote analysis, comparative study etc., in line with the company`s set standards and protocol.
- Steering all aspects of logistics as per INCOTERM as well as continuous interaction and coordination with nominated freight forwarders, suppliers and factory buyers to ensure timely and safe shipment of cargoes.
- Mass Production follows ups, quality improvement, and continuous improvement.
- Protecting IP while working with Suppliers.
- Must work for Sustainability Projects, possess excellence supplier management, and training at the supplier end.
Who you are
- 7 to 10 years’ experience in sourcing
- B.E. in Mechanical Engineering, MBA Preferred
- Preferred Industry Background will be in Aggregates, Mining, Heavy Engineering, or related sectors
- Strong negotiation and costing expertise, communication skills
- Sound knowledge of Casting/ forging/ Pattern/ Dies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Familiar with common IT tools like Microsoft Office, SAP, and Global Tools of analytics
- Ability to work collaboratively with global teams
- Strong Supplier Relationships
- Excellent communication skills
- Component development knowledge
- Must be willing to travel domestically and internationally as per business needs. In general, travel time may be around 50%.
- Adaptability to work along with the Global Team in Different time zones
