Introduction:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to head the Hydraulic Engineering team within the AGG Metso Products. this role offers a unique opportunity to drive innovation, lead a high-performing team, and contribute to the growth of a rapidly evolving industry. The role encompasses leadership in engineering execution, technical expertise, cost efficiency, quality assurance, and safety compliance.

 

What you'll do:

 

  • Lead and own end-to-end hydraulic system design and architecture.
  • Define hydraulic concepts, circuit philosophies, and component strategies.
  • Ensure system performance, safety, reliability, and cost objectives are achieved.
  • Review and approve hydraulic schematics, calculations, layouts, and BOMs.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable international standards and statutory requirements.
  • Drive standardization, modularization, and reuse of proven hydraulic solutions.
  • Translate functional and operational requirements into robust hydraulic designs.
  • Evaluate system behaviour under various operating conditions and duty cycles.
  • Lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation for field issues.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, sourcing, quality, service, and project teams.
  • Provide technical support during production, installation, commissioning, and field operation.
  • Interface with suppliers for technical alignment, development, and continuous improvement.

Who you are

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (master’s preferred).
  • Formal training or certification in Hydraulics / Fluid Power is desirable.
  • 13–16 years of experience in hydraulic system design and application.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a technical leadership or managerial role.
  • Experience in product-based or project-driven engineering environments.
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, circuits, and components.
  • Experience with hydraulic power packs, valves, pumps, actuators, and accessories.
  • Proficiency in CAD tools and hydraulic simulation software.
  • Understanding of international hydraulic standards and safety requirements.
