Introduction:
We are seeking a Team Lead FEA Calculation to join our Customer Order Engineering, Pump team. You will be responsible for leading the team of 2-3 FEA engineers to carry out all kinds of design calculations by hand or by FEA tool ANSYS to make sure that the developed model meets all essential standards and regulations, which involves collaboration with design, testing, service and application team. Your role plays a crucial part in design validation, which will contribute to making sure that our product is healthy throughout the product life. In this position, you will report to Customer Order Engineering Manager.
This position is mainly located in Alwar.
Team you belong to:
You will join in COE pump in a team of FEA Engineers dedicated to performing linear & nonlinear calculations as per required standards. We are currently working on Wide range of pumps and Hydro cyclones.
We work closely with internal // external stakeholders, such as COE and R&D Engineers. Our team culture is all about high ambition always & getting it done together. The members in our team are located in various locations such as Sala, Colombia, Peru, Sorocaba, South Africa, Australia & Brazil.
What you’ll do:
- Lead the team of 2-3 Fea calculation engineers.
- Carry out structural and mechanical hand calculation as per required standard (IS, ISO, DIN etc.)
- Static linear and nonlinear analysis of pump parts and related accessories in ANSYS
- Modal dynamic and harmonic response analysis of motor structure and supportive structure in ANSYS
- Day to day design calculation activity in MS excel and PTC Mathcad software.
- Lifting tool analysis with reports to verify as per safety practices.
- Interpret results, make recommendations, and write reports.
- Support development of simulation procedures and methodologies for the department.
- Knowledge on Seismic analysis is advantage.
Who you are:
- Bachelor’s/ master’s degree in mechanical, Engineering.
- Strong foundation in Finite Element Methods, Engineering Design, Strength of Materials, Applied Mechanics, Dynamics of structure.
- 7-8 years of FEA experience in the field of Heavy Engineering industry/ Mining and aggregate industries.
- Knowledge in technical writing for writing test plans and reports
- Interpret analysis results and convert them to design suggestions.
- In-depth knowledge of FEA tools most preferably ANSYS or Similar FEA package.
- Knowledge of ANSYS CAD environment, Space Claim, hyper mesh is required.
- Knowledge of CAD tool like Inventor is desirable.
- Well-versed in usage of Microsoft Office applications.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
