Introduction

Sales & Application Engineer supports external and internal customers with quotes & technical knowledge related to pump Business line Products.

Job Location -Alwar (Rajasthan)

What you’ll do

• Assist sales by providing technical and application support for Pumps, Hydro cyclones, Hose, Valves
• Make quotations for pumps and spare parts
• Calculate costs and prices for pumps
• Makes pump sizing calculations, Hydrocyclone, Valve, Hoses will be added advantage
• Support external customers, agents, distributors and EPC
• Support Minerals Process Equipment (MPS) Mining Systems (MS) with pump solution knowledge in bigger projects.
• Being the main contact person within a nominated geographical area. Work as a backup for colleagues when needed in other areas.
• Support Order Management department in registering orders (when needed join order briefings both internally and towards customers)
• Supports claim handling on pumps and spare parts.
• Follow up on assigned quotations.
• Assisting in the compilation and preparation of monthly progress reports, both internally and to customers, by giving input on the progress of pump related business.
• Develop the relation with customers through travels, meetings, presentations, education and representations.
• Requires travel, both domestic and international.
• Manage Relationship in Sales & Application Support with internal and external parties

Who you are

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering and/or business or equivalent training/experience, need to have a technical background.
• Basic knowledge in pumps is desirable. Relevant pump knowledge means achieved through academic studies or practical experience of centrifugal pumps.
• General knowledge within the area of minerals and mineral processing is beneficial.
• Service oriented person with great drive and commitment, and a sense of detail and order
• Interest in technology, problem solving attitude
• Team player, capability to prioritize and manage different workloads
• Experience in quotation work is an asset
• Good communication skills in English are required. Additional language skills are beneficial.
• Good computer skills in Microsoft Office, SAP and general adaptability to new tools is a requirement
• Experience in a customer service role or support function role is a plus

• Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a variating environment.

• Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) and effective interpersonal skills are required, as this person will have frequent interaction with both internal and external customers and suppliers.

• Must be able to function effectively both as a member of a team and as an individual contributor
• Ability to complete assigned tasks independently
• Highly motivated individual with the ability to work under stress and meet tight deadlines.
• Must be capable of effectively and accurately working on several projects at one time
• Requires domestic and international travel.
