Engineer: Engineering Support

Introduction: 

• The candidate will be responsible to carry out all kind of engineering Support through SAP and Vault. The successful candidate is responsible to provide support within the COE engineering team with the two competence areas Items creation and/or Pump Manuals. This an excellent opportunity to work in a friendly work environment with the existing team.
• Cooperation with Design engineers Operation & R&D both locally and globally will be part of the daily tasks.

Main Responsibilities: 

• Creates items in SAP using the design drawing specifications and task instructions as input. This includes description of the item’s properties and business-related classifications.
• Extends items in SAP to plants assigned as responsibility area.
• Builds global and local BOMs on when required.
• Updates items and BOMs through the Engineering Change Orders workflow.
• Assists local planning department with BOM creation and updates.
• Provides data reports for statistics and reporting purposes.
• Analyses and corrects the properties and data quality on the items by reviewing quality reports received from other central support functions or created by the team itself.
• Assists other COE colleagues with matters relating to items, working methods, system support, etc.

• Health, Safety and Environmental actions according to policy
• Makes own decisions on how to define an item in the system with given designer inputs.
• Work sharing with Global COE team.

To succeed:

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 1-3 years of Engineering support experience in the field of Heavy Engineering industry/ Mining and aggregate industries.
• Knowledge of SAP tool and Inventor is desirable.
• Well-versed in usage of Microsoft Office applications.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Eagerness to learn and expand responsibilities.
