Introduction

 

We are seeking a PDM Development Engineer to join our Screening Business Line Technology team. In this role, you will develop and enhance engineering tools and processes by collaborating closely with regional engineering teams and Metso IT.

You will ensure that spare and wear parts are identified during the engineering process and properly marked in engineering systems for aftermarket purposes. A key part of this role is to run Proof-of-Concept (PoC) tests for new work methods and ensure efficient reuse of legacy data across tools. You will also support IT in legacy data migration and cleansing activities.

This position is central to supporting our Digitalization Program, aimed at strengthening our competitiveness in capital and aftermarket business.

You will join a global team of experienced mechanical and IT engineers focused on elevating Screening BL’s digital capabilities. We develop processes and tools that support daily engineering work, foster teamwork, and promote knowledge sharing across the organization.

What you’ll do

 

· Identify, develop, and harmonize ways of working in Teamcenter, Inventor, and SAP S4

· Support engineering and aftermarket teams in identifying and marking spare and wear parts in Teamcenter and SAP

· Run Proof‑of‑Concept tests to validate proposed tools and processes

· Support IT in migration and cleansing of legacy data to Teamcenter and SAP

· Identify opportunities to improve data quality in Teamcenter and SAP to drive efficiency in order execution teams

 

Relationships:

 

· Collaborate with global and regional engineering teams

· Work closely with Metso IT, Global Product Managers, and Business Owners

· Interact regularly with stakeholders across Technology, Aftermarket, and regional operations

 

Who you are

 

· Experience in the design of heavy machinery or similar industrial equipment (mandatory)

· Strong hands‑on experience with Teamcenter, Inventor, and SAP (mandatory)

· 3–5 years of relevant work experience preferred

· Experience in data or document management is desirable

· Skilled in discussing and presenting concepts to diverse technical and non‑technical audiences

· Comfortable collaborating with global stakeholders across time zones

· Experience in the mining business is beneficial but not required
