Introduction

 

We are seeking an Design Engineer to join our Screening Business Line Technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for the Exciter design, development, and optimization for mining and aggregate screens, ensuring high performance, durability, and compliance with global safety standards.
You will collaborate closely with global engineering, manufacturing, and R&D teams to deliver robust solutions that support our capital equipment and aftermarket businesses.
The role also includes performing analyses, simulations, technical validation, and field improvements to ensure best-in-class screening performance.

Team, you belong to

 

You will join the Global Technology Screens Team dedicated to Research and Development.
Our team works on various global initiatives and collaborates actively with Metso colleagues across Brazil, Europe, India, and Australia.

The team partners with Global Technology, Engineering, Product Management, Aftermarket, and regional operations.

 

What you’ll do

 

· Design and develop of New Exciters for the Screening Equipment’s

  • Explore Cost reduction opportunities in the Existing Exciters
  • Support Product sustenance topics on Exciters

· Support thorough Modelling and PLM tools to cleanse any master data issues

· Collaborate Cross functionally for manufacturing, assembly, and quality compliance ensuring alignment with the Exciter Designs.

· Prepare detailed technical documentation, reports, and presentation materials as required

  • Manufacturing and quality teams
  • Technology, Aftermarket, and Product Management groups
  • Field service and technical support teams

 

Who you are

 

· Bachelors / Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering

  • Experience working with gearbox design is a strong preference

· Proven experience in designing mining equipment, especially screening equipment is preferrable.

· 3 - 5 years of relevant work experience preferred

· Strong knowledge of CAD tools such as AutoCAD and Inventor is preferrable.

· Experience with Teamcenter and ANSYS is an advantage.

· Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

· Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

· Knowledge of mining industry safety standards.

· Fluency in English is mandatory.
