Introduction

 

We are seeking an RTD Design Engineer to join our Screening Business Line Technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, and optimization of mining and aggregate screens, ensuring high performance, durability, and compliance with global safety standards.
You will collaborate closely with global engineering, manufacturing, and R&D teams to deliver robust solutions that support our capital equipment and aftermarket businesses.
The role also includes performing analyses, simulations, technical validation, and field improvements to ensure best-in-class screening performance.

Team, you belong to

 

You will join the Global Technology Screens Team dedicated to Research and Development.
Our team works on various global initiatives and collaborates actively with Metso colleagues across Brazil, Europe, India, and Australia.

The team partners with Global Technology, Engineering, Product Management, Aftermarket, and regional operations.

 

What you’ll do

 

· Design and develop mining and aggregate screens, selecting appropriate materials and components.

· Conduct technical analyses and simulations to optimize screen performance.

· Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure smooth integration with other mining systems.

· Oversee manufacturing, assembly, and quality compliance, ensuring alignment with engineering specifications.

· Perform field tests, collect feedback, and implement necessary design improvements.

· Stay updated with industry trends and emerging screening technologies.

· Prepare detailed technical documentation, reports, and presentation materials.

  • Global and regional engineering teams
  • Manufacturing and quality teams
  • Technology, Aftermarket, and Product Management groups
  • R&D and simulation experts
  • Field service and testing teams

 

Who you are

 

· Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.

· Proven experience in designing mining equipment, especially screening equipment (mandatory).

· 3 - 5 years of relevant work experience preferred

· Strong knowledge of CAD tools such as AutoCAD and Inventor.

· Experience with Teamcenter and ANSYS is an advantage.

· Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

· Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

· Knowledge of mining industry safety standards.

· Fluency in English is mandatory.
