We are looking for a Deputy Manager, Procurement – Aggregates to join our Procurement team in Alwar. In this role, you will take ownership of supplier development and sourcing activities in a manufacturing environment, ensuring reliable supplier performance, cost competitiveness, and timely project execution.
This is a hands-on role where your expertise in manufacturing processes, supplier development, and sourcing execution will directly impact business performance and project delivery.
This role is based in Alwar, India, and includes regular travel to suppliers.
Team you will belong to
You will be part of the Procurement team supporting Aggregates operations, working closely with Project, Engineering, and Production stakeholders.
The team focuses on ensuring effective supplier development, strong sourcing execution, and smooth project delivery, with close collaboration between internal teams and external suppliers.
What you’ll do
- Lead sourcing and procurement activities for manufacturing and project needs, including RFQs and supplier selection
- Drive supplier development activities, ensuring suppliers meet technical and operational requirements
- Manage techno-commercial evaluations and support negotiations with suppliers
- Work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure sourcing decisions align with technical requirements
- Identify and onboard suitable suppliers within fabrication, machine, and related manufacturing areas
- Monitor supplier performance and proactively address delivery, quality, and capability gaps
- Support project execution by ensuring timely material availability and supplier responsiveness
- Travel regularly to supplier sites to manage relationships and oversee development activities
What you’ll bring
- Strong hands-on experience in supplier development and sourcing execution
- 8–12 years of experience in manufacturing sourcing or procurement, ideally within heavy industry
- Practical knowledge of manufacturing processes (fabrication, machining, etc.)
- Experience handling RFQs and techno-commercial evaluation processes (RFU experience expected)
- Good negotiation skills
- Ability to work closely with technical stakeholders and understand engineering requirements
- Strong ownership mindset and ability to work independently in a dynamic environment
- Experience in strategic sourcing or cost optimisation initiatives
- Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP)
