We are looking for an (Senior) Engineer, Sourcing (ARF) to join our Sourcing team in Alwar, India. In this role, you will be responsible for strategic sourcing activities for machining, casting, and forging commodities, contributing to cost competitiveness, supplier capability, and reliable sourcing execution for ARF operations.

 

This role is based in Alwar, India. The role also requires travel, mainly to supplier locations and other relevant business sites as needed.

 

 

What you’ll do

 

  • Identify and evaluate suppliers for machining, casting, and forging commodities
  • Manage Request for Quotation processes, ensuring cost-effective procurement aligned with technical requirements
  • Perform zero-based costing and activity-based costing for machining, forging, and casting commodities
  • Calculate machining cycle times, welding costs, machine hour rates, and related cost elements
  • Handle purchase requisition to purchase order activities, including standard and service purchase orders
  • Conduct supplier audits to assess capabilities, quality compliance, and adherence to timelines
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Quality teams on new product development activities
  • Negotiate supplier contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms

 

 

What you’ll bring

 

  • Relevant experience in casting, forging, and machining commodities, typically gained over 4–8 years in a sourcing or procurement role
  • B.Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant equivalent qualification
  • Experience with machining processes such as CNC, vertical turning lathe, vertical machining center, horizontal machining center, boring, and milling
  • Understanding of castings, welding techniques for casting, and heat treatment processes
  • Knowledge of international standards, certifications, supplier quality, and compliance requirements
  • Familiarity with tools such as AutoCAD, nesting software, advanced Excel, and SAP Materials Management module
  • Problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to work with people at different levels and backgrounds
  • Collaborative and engaged team player with a thoughtful approach to day-to-day work
