Introduction

Metso, a global leader in sustainable technologies, comprehensive solutions, and services for the minerals processing, aggregates, metal recycling, and waste management industries, is looking for a BL Pumps Proposal Engineer to the Metso office in Kazakhstan, you will work together with the Proposal team in Sala, Sweden.

We offer you a great opportunity to work in a position with a lot of interaction with our pump factory in Sala Sweden and people around the world and of different fields such as sales, marketing and product support. You will work in a great team of 14 persons in Sala.

In this position you will report to Senior Manager, Proposals (located in Sweden).

As a Pumps Proposal Engineer, you will support our sales for our products, i.e slurry pumps, hydrocyclones, slurry hoses and valves. This includes a lot of teamwork with our Sales and project teams globally. Some travelling and customer visits will be part of your work when you are ready. We will teach you everything you need to know to become the pump and hydrocyclone expert we need. What we are looking for is a person with great drive, problem-solving focus, team spirit and good education as a foundation.

Responsibilities and Duties on this position:

• In this role you will assist our sales team and dealers with technical and application support related to slurry handling.
• You will perform pump / cyclone sizing and find the best possible technical solutions for our customers. 
• Our focus is to deliver products with high efficiency and long lifetime, with as low environmental footprint as possible.
• You will also be involved in trouble shooting and help our service team when they need help to solve customer complaints.
• The work includes collaboration and support to other departments, such as: Operations planning, Purchasing, Logistics, Assembly and Quality with technical expertise.
• We also work together on a global level and help other proposal teams in India, USA, Australia, Peru and South Africa.

To succeed in this position, you will need:

• to be a motivated, results-driven person, who is a strong collaborator, product-oriented and customer focused
• You have a great interest in technology, you see problem solving as something fun and fulfilling
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Minerals processing or similar
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Excellent communication skills in English •    Good computer skills in Microsoft Office, Salesforce, SAP and general adaptability to new tools
• Knowledge about centrifugal pumps is an advantage
• General knowledge within the area of minerals and minerals processing is an advantage.
• Additional languages like Swedish, German, Spanish, French, Italian is an advantage
• Experience in project management is an advantage.
