About the Role
We are looking for an IT Specialist to join our team in Central Asia (Almaty office), supporting a geographically distributed environment across multiple countries.
This role goes beyond traditional onsite support and requires strong ownership across IT operations, vendor coordination, regional processes, and infrastructure topics. The position interfaces closely with Business, Global IT, and external partners to ensure stability, compliance, and continuous improvement of IT services.
Ability to travel to remote locations is required.
Key Responsibilities
- End-User & Local IT Operations
- Provide onsite and remote support to Business End Users across Central Asia
- Troubleshoot incidents and ensure timely resolution of IT issues
- Support hardware lifecycle management (computers, peripherals, mobile devices)
- Execute onboarding and offboarding activities
- Infrastructure & Applications
- Support and coordinate local infrastructure operations (servers, network, connectivity)
- Support local applications, including 1C ERP and related environments
- Support infrastructure incidents and collaborate with global technical teams for resolution
- Participate in infrastructure testing and performance validation (e.g., network, VPN, cloud providers)
- IT Procurement & Asset Management
- Support IT procurement processes (CAPEX/OPEX) aligned with global guidelines
- Maintain stock availability of IT equipment and ensure business continuity
- Map and document IT procurement processes across the region
- Coordinate contract handling and vendor onboarding processes
- Vendor Management & Compliance
- Act as the main IT contact for local vendors and service providers
- Follow up vendor performance and service quality
- Maintain CMDB updates and vendor information accuracy
- Ensure compliance with internal IT policies, audit requirements, and security standards
- Projects & Process Improvement
- Participate in regional and global IT projects (infrastructure, process standardization, automation)
- Contribute to process mapping and documentation (e.g., procurement, IT services)
- Support implementation of global initiatives (e.g., Autopilot, SaaS/PaaS governance)
- Work with agile teams and tools (e.g., JIRA, PI planning)
- Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with Regional IT, Global Service Delivery Managers, and Business stakeholders
- Participate in global and local meetings, providing updates and insights
- Ensure alignment between Business needs and IT services delivery
- Qualifications & Skills
- 3+ years of experience in IT (support, infrastructure, or IT operations)
- Experience with:
- End-user support (onsite and remote)
- IT infrastructure (servers, network, cloud services)
- IT procurement and vendor management
- ERP systems (preferably 1C or similar)
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform:
- Power Apps
- Power Automate
- Familiarity with AI solutions and automation tools (e.g., AI Agents, Copilot, or similar)
- Knowledge of SaaS / IaaS / PaaS environments
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and IT governance
- Experience working in distributed or multi-country environments is a plus
- English: Upper Intermediate or higher
