Technical Service Support, Screening

We are seeking a Technical Service Support, Screening individual that will assist with all enquiries related to Screens and Feeders, the design of Screens and Feeders to suit customer requirements as well as assist with quotations of Screens and Feeders.

In this position, you will report directly to the Manager: TSS Engineering Standards Office.

This position is mainly located in Alrode, Gauteng.

 TEAM YOU BELONG TO

You will join our Technical Service Support team and work closely with internal and external stakeholders, such as Clients, Managers, Internal Staff and Business Lines.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Receive queries from the mines and associates etc. workshop enquiries related to drawings and Bill of Materials problem solving
• Assist the people on site with queries and get info ready for them

• Drawings: re-draws, modifies or re-codes drawings of equipment.  Such drawings are primarily done on the existing CAD system which form part of the Metso product range to suit SA conditions and generate ECO’s
• Design: Do GA drawings when order received.  Do the calculations for the motor, springs and motor mounting beam.  Design new decks and allocate new part number
• Quotations – Capital: Open a file and log the SF number on the register for quotation.  Calculate the motor and new weight of the screen.  Check the design parameters and create costing sheets and packing list
• When enquiries are received for grizzly feeder, do the layout of the grizzly bar spacing.  Revise the weight accordingly to work out the correct price.  Draw up a spares list for new screens and feeders
• Loading: Load new or revised existing data on SAP system and create MM part numbers on ATON for new parts and link to SAP.  Load new assembly groupings for new screens and feeders.  Allocate new serial numbers to new screens and feeders and maintain the register
• Parts manuals: handle the request for part manuals and customer manuals. (Compile them as well)
• Product responsibility – Vibrating equipment: all enquiries related to screens and feeders and problem solving.  Looking after the screen’s product range in the screens department
• Visit Companies: Visit the mines, vendors and other companies when needed
• Meetings: Attend hand-over meetings and discuss manufacturing programs and delivery times

 WHO YOU ARE

• Matric (Grade 12)

• Computer Literate: MS Office
• SAP
• Be able to read and fully understand technical drawings
• +/- 5 years in Drawing Office environment experience
