A position has become available for a Field Service Technician – Crushing and Milling, based in Ghana.
We are seeking Field Service Technician – Crushing & Milling to join our Field Service and LCS Team.
This position is mainly located in Ghana.
TEAM YOU WILL BELONG TO
You will join a team of Field Service Professionals that strive to effectively deliver seamless customer experience, that meets the customers’ needs and supporting the entire Field Service and LCS team to enhance and build solid customer relationships.
You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, such as the Field Service & LCS Team, Site Account Management Team, Technical Sales Support Team, External Customers, and all other internal Service Providers in WAF.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Experienced with Metso equipment, i.e Crushing equipment
- Perform Field Service activities & routines (both at customer site and office-based) with support/supervision level in-line with training certification.
Field Service routines include:
- Basic customer problem-solving,
- Repairs and preventative maintenance work,
- Equipment inspections with recommendations,
- Assembly/disassembly, installation & commissioning
- Trade specific discipline work (hydraulics, mechanics, automation, etc)
- Operation and maintenance activities
- Customer training on basic operation and maintenance
- Remote support to colleagues and customers
Follow Metso processes, instructions and training in performance of duties, with a specific focus on our brand requirements, certification principles, field service process and proper
utilization of the Field Service digital tools (FSM, DIT, REX).
- Follow Metso & customer H&S requirements, ensuring adherence to the Metso “Modus Operandi” in performing duties.
- Deliver site reports, time sheets & travel expense reports after each job in a timely manner.
- Identify sales leads and promote services offering.

WHO YOU ARE
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
BSc or HND Mechanical engineering.
Leading for safety
Customer focused, services skills
Good communication skills
Drive to complete tasks on remote customer site.
Building trust
Hands on experience with Metso Crushers & Mills
Minimum 5-years relevant field experience in a gold plant environment.
