Introduction

We are further strengthening our Inventory Management organization. Therefore, we are seeking a Manager, Global Manufacturing Inventories to join us within the Consumables (CNS) Business Area. You will be responsible for increasing our maturity in inventory management for raw materials, rubber compound and work-in-process. You will develop, implement and maintain our different levels of guidelines and metrics. An essential part of this role is to drive the development and implementation of global planning and inventory governance for rubber compound manufacturing.

The role can be located in any of our main CNS manufacturing locations. While we support hybrid ways of working, we highly value in-person collaboration and relationship building. Therefore, regular presence at the local office is expected.

You will join a team of professionals who are passionate about taking the Consumables business area to the next level and delivering the business results by working closely with colleagues around the world and ensuring state of world supply chain network. We are further developing our rather new organization and our ways of working and looking for the best candidate to join us on this journey.

We work closely with both the full Consumables business area and all the market areas. Our team culture is all about driving for results, creating value for Metso and our customers and succeeding together. You will report to the Director, Inventory Management.

What you’ll do

• Own and facilitate inventory management roadmap for raw materials, rubber compound and work-in-progress in factories and foundries
• Drive inventory management harmonization and development for all life-cycle phases of materials and products (define policies, processes, standards, metrics and KPIs)
• Identify continues improvements to minimize inventory while maximizing availability and flexibility
• Facilitate and drive creation and maintenance of steering mechanisms for rubber compound manufacturing footprint and inventory planning
• Facilitate regular inventory network cadence between factories and foundries
• Accountability of inventory management actions and results in CNS SIOP process (e.g. inventory projections and risk assessment)

Who you are

• You are a team player and willingness to develop next level inventory management
• You have master’s, or bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering and Management or in Business or equivalent

• You have 5+ years of experience of inventory management in manufacturing environment
• You have excellent mathematical skills
• You have solid skills in data analytics and AI
• You have a proven track record in driving operational initiatives related to inventory management development
• You have demonstrated success in collaborating with and influencing various stakeholders in a diverse organizational environment
